Almost at the half-way mark, and the records continue to fall with this amazing season. Best start in the Pac-12 since the 1999 unification. Best start ever for a Beaver baseball team. I'm guessing 19 wins in a row is some sort of Beaver baseball record too.
This is the first year I have not been worried when we have fallen behind, or when the other team gets a runner in scoring position. I feels really weird, to not have to fret over these things. Anyone else feel this way?

This team has something very special going for it. Aside from the physical talent, there seems to be great chemistry with this group. As a fan, I am just trying to enjoy the ride without projecting how it all turns out.

Anyone else feel this way? Even Mike Parker has been even keel to upbeat when the opposing team threatens to score. I was listening to the St. Mary's game and he didn't get all doom and gloom about things the way I have heard so many times during a normal season. This season has been unreal in so many ways, and I for one, am enjoying the hell out of it!

24-1 is AWESOME... but it is baseball. The "other shoe will drop", it is the way the game works. We have 21 games left in league which truly all that matters because as of now we have only 7 of 11 with winning records versus a fairly non-conference schedule. Seems 4 teams is the max making it to final 64 if the league hold true. If OSU "falls off the wagon" and goes a "terrible" 15-6 down the stretch they win the league by 5 games at least, but RPI could actually decrease even going 17-4. I say a 24-6 finish or better is completely in reach without any unexpected major injury.
Good news is we host. Bad news is the effing committee. Starting out 24-1 and still finishing with a stellar 24-6, let's say, will be looked at by those ass hats as a slide. We just need to win series, not get swept if we have an off weekend to not give the aforementioned ass hats reason to seed us any lower than a national top 4 seed.... which at 48-7 (again assuming 24-6 finish) should be an automatic #1.

24 of the last 30 games are going to be played in Oregon, and 19 of those are at Goss. Advantage BEAVS!

Where there is basebah111, there is 100% chance of drippiness.

How about not being so confrontational. people have their styles. baseba1111 tends to be measured, and a realist. sure he can be abrasive, but noting he wrote was knocking on the team in any way. He was complaining about the committee punishing the Beavers for having an otherwise stellar finish based on the standard we just set for ourselves. people do not have to be cheerleaders 24/7. Message boards are built for discussing things, not fluffing sunshine up each other's butts. in other words "lighten up, Francis".

On the chalkboard, write the following statement 100 times in your best cursive: I will not ad hominem attack even if baseba1111 seems to be a wet sandwich poster. Then you can go out for recess.

Anyone else feel this way? 9-0 in conference is the best start ever in the Pac-12. 19 wins-in-a-row is the Oregon State record. The 24-1 start is the best start ever for Oregon State. The Beavers' second-best start was 23-1 in 1962. Oregon State would go 26-2 before losing the final two against Oregon to fall to 26-4, 11-4 in conference, the Pacific Coast Conference (also known as the "Northern Division" champion). That qualified Oregon State to play the CIBA (four California AAWU teams plus Santa Clara) champion, #1 Santa Clara, for the right to represent the West at the College World Series in what would be the model for the Super Regionals. #1 Santa Clara would sweep #13 Oregon State in a best-of-three series to punch its ticket to Omaha. Santa Clara lost the championship game in Omaha to Michigan 5-4 in 15 innings. 1962 was Michigan's last College World Series championship. 1962 was Santa Clara's last College World Series appearance.

There is nothing wrong with being a realist. As a wise one likes to remind us, the intrpretation of a post most often says more about the reader than the poster. Discussions need to be a 2 way street...not a 4 lane freeway made up of nothing but semi's headed in one direction. Discussions don't need a winner and loser, they are not debates or legal courtrooms. When I have disussions with people over a beer, I don't usually walk away thinking "Yes! I got him"...or worse "What a Dickhead!" Most posters here get that and have those type of cordial interactions with each other. Some do not.
