Coach Casey's pregame acknowledgment of TOO many LOB is pretty prophetic today. We should be UP BIG. Not over, but it's tough to squander those opportunities time and again.

Part of not being up big today is the lack of pitching by Fehmel and Britton. Also, many of the hits are singles, and runners aren't being sent home from second. |

I don't understand why baseball players always break home from third with less than 2 outs on a ground ball. If it was to an infielder playing back there is enough time to react and go.

Horrible base running by the Beavers today Just poorly coached and executed. Sacks full no outs and you get one on sac fly. Contact play runner at 2B doesn't advance... with 1 out 3rd base playing 4 steps behind baseline... easy safety squeeze opp. We have 17 hits can't keep waiting/expecting more. Was a perfect chance for some unexpected small ball. |
