After today's game was over I held up my "No Pity For The Kitty" sign. A few of their players looked up as they walked past. I yelled "Sorry, guys " down to them. Then a female Arizona fan came over and chewed me out. I hesitate to refer to her as a woman, because she repeatedly dropped F-bombs on me. I did ask her if she kissed people with her filthy mouth. She said our fans were terrible, I was terrible, and that she couldn't wait to get back to Arizona. Maybe it was over the top to rub it in, but I'm pretty sure I didn't deserve her wrath.
Stadium security then asked to see my sign, and said that derogatory signs against the other team are not allowed. I asked since when, and was told they never have been allowed. I folded up the sign and told them I'd toss it in the trash on the way out, which I did. I guess that means the DDD sign will have to be garaged.

For the record, I think " no pitty for the kitty" is hardly offensive and hilarious!

perhaps a Thank you for attending sign would pass security scrutiny?
maybe a Delta Delta Delta sign for that certain series? Most in the stands will think of the sorority. We will know the truth
However....that was likely a players Mom. And i hesitate to have them leave with a bad impression. (other than a loss)they are probably as much or more invested than their sons. Living the dream through their sons so to speak. And sooner or later we have to go down there. At the old park the Az fans were notorius for below the belt comments and low class behavior

I wonder where that fan was sitting who said the OSU fans were terrible. Most of the players parents sat right below us and we were nothing but friendly to them.

Ok, lets just say some of our fans were terrible..whats that make her for dropping the f bombs at you? Seems she brought herself down to an equal point or lower by dropping the f bombs if some of our fans were bad. I am sure there are some fans that go to far but doing what she accused them of isn't the way to deal with it. By the way, seems the arizona bench wasn't exactly quiet. Also, I don't think your sign was anywhere near derogatory.

You're welcome for the "no pity for the kitty" sign trouble maker Don't you feel terribly guilty for corrupting my high moral standards? If ASU uses this expression all the time, I wonder why it got under her skin. Maybe three losses in a row is what upset her? Whatever, I am over it. And you haven't seen the last of my signs.

Seems to me that Arizona students used to be considered the worst fans. But that is students and not adults so there is that difference.
I am not very religious but my motto has always been: "Do unto others as you would have them........"
Seems like good words to live by for everyone involved, IMHO.

I am pretty sure I was sitting across the aisle from this person on Saturday in the UA parent section. If it was the same person, she clearly had somewhat of a chippy attitude. When the cats strung a few hits together, she would screech out "time for batting practice!" ...(and it was a screech). Clearly pissed off when we won in a walk off Saturday. As someone said above, no one in the section gave the UA folks any crap (at least on Sat.) and the interactions I witnessed were civil.

I watched Friday's game next to one of the Arizona players fathers, and after the game he shook everyone's hand and told us he had a fantastic time interacting with us and that we were great fans to be around.

I watched Friday's game next to one of the Arizona players fathers, and after the game he shook everyone's hand and told us he had a fantastic time interacting with us and that we were great fans to be around. Every fan base has their idiots and those typically get the "press" when opposing teams look at fans bases, but there is no team (beside the tsdtr) that can say OSU fans overall are rude and disrespectful. We may have a few that "celebrate" a little too enthusiastically, but rarely "in your face rude". If that was a "mom"... and no excuses offered for her behavior... coming in #9 to "THE" series of maybe the Pac12 season and getting beat the way it went down would be very painful. Can't imagine if the shoe was on the other foot the way Friday and Saturday went down! That being said, you'd expect a parent to have a little more self control, but it seemed to me the players and coaches typified that arrogant/hostile/unsportsmanlike attitude. It may be a sign of their culture or some misguided aura of superiority from a losing trip to the NC???! In any case, there was truly only one reply, "SCOREBOARD"!! Go Beavs...

I got in trouble once - made some comment on an opposing player (not heckle negative, just that he was having some difficulty), and it turned out I was sitting right behind mom........
