I'm not sure what else they can do to prove that. BTB 9th inning walk off wins against a great Arizona team. Even with some mistakes, they still find a way to win. Can't wait for game three tomorrow, rain or no rain.

Been down that road as recently as last year. I'll take very very good and see if we can even get better. Just glad this series is home in the wet and cold. Lots of factors go into being great, the schedule can be one.

Considering only two other Beaver teams have started the season 20 and 1, I'm not sure where you're getting your visualization of where this team ranks.
I think this team is only about 80% there offensively and makes errors much more frequently than they're capable of playing defensively so when the entire team starts clicking we might really be a good baseball team at least in your eyes I think

We haven't had many real tests of our (game situation) metal and it's great to see them rising to the occasion. Two ninth inning runs on the season, both for walk-off wins.
What did you decide for signs, Dave? I'm not sure I have seen any crowd signs in watching on TV, but I have not really been watching for them either.
Go Beavs!

These games are the real tests. This teams special no doubt but long season and its great to see the team compete. With the exception of one loss every punch thrown has been answered by the offense. I agree with MBAbeav offense is 80% there. I think the positive signs are in the execution on small ball. Its become a regular thing to score with a runner on first, steals second, Base hit = run or even wild pitch = win (it happened we all saw it). With health this team is all upside Go Beavers !!

What is it with many Beaver fans, that they can never seem to celebrate the moment and instead always want to put things in a crouched language? This team rocks. They are getting it done, day in and day out. Are they perfect? Hell no, and they never will be. This is their toughest series all year, so I have no fear going forward. Baseball is a game of inches. It is also a thinking person's game, and Coach Casey is one of the best. This is a magical year we are witnessing. BTW, D1baseball.com ranks Madrigal as the top college shortstop this year. I have four two-sided signs. Eight total. I have used six of them over the weekend, but the P-12 TV cameras never seem aimed at me when I do. The Zona dugout has certainly seen them, and they laughed at the "Here, Kitty, Kitty" one yesterday. Speaking of dugouts, theirs certainly got chippy yesterday. And there were also very unprofessional comments from a coach, aimed at Yeskie. He was not amused. That pissed me off. I hope we kick their tails today.

I think it's just that it's early, and rankings don't mean diddly-poo. Remember when OSU was ranked #1 and didn't out of it's own regional? Remember when OSU wasn't ranked at all and won the National Championship. Look, we all think this is a great team, but we also don't have to validate it or break out the anointing oil 20 games into the season. You want to, go ahead, just don't be surprised, or upset, when a great many of us don't join you in the Kool-Aid chugging. Go Beavs.

Generally, when you start doing back flips (Arizona Dugout) you pizz people off and they tend to really, really try to knock you off. Be humble and enjoy your good fortune. Even the Best seldom win them all.

Personally, I'm chuggin' it right out of the jug standing in front of the refrigerator in my PJ's. My cotton-mouth thirst is best described as "demonic". However, I'm also looking out of the corner of my eye to see if the wife is coming my way down the hall.

I don't care what level you are playing at 20-1 and 6-0 in conference is special. They may not be "special" by the end of the season, they may not be "special" next week, but ANY team that puts up that kid of record IS special. Being considered the #1 team out of 300 by EVERYONE who ranks these things: That's special.
Enjoy it for now, and you can all go back to your cynical ways if we start losing.

Stating facts that polls or records mean nothing until all is said and done in June is pretty basic logic. I'd rather be realistic than the 'bandwagon' fan that states how "special" one week, then counts the number of fowl falling from the sky the next week. Our toughest series is the next one... because... it's the next one and on the road vs a team/coach that is considerably better than our 1st road series. I count any team that makes the final 16 out of 300+ pretty special... make it to Omaha, and they are really VERY special... get to the championship series, elite... win it all "THE BEST". This team has been VERY good so far... but there is a long way to go to be "special" by the end of the season... and that is the only time it counts! IMHO
