Bad time for a slump! Still very proud of this team! As players and more importantly as people!

I am actually impressed that we won as much as we did given some of our obvious shortcomings this year: - lots of careless TOs - bigs still developing (lots of point-blank misses, bringing the ball down) - inconsistency at several positions, some due to freshmen slumps, some just inconsistent players - an almost over-reliance on Sydney at times (the book on beating us became pressuring her) - integrating a couple of freshmen into contributing roles, riding their slumps - not being able to harness Maddie's motor, or Taylor's "instant offense" - KTMac inconsistency (wonder if we could have bottled whatever fed her 29 point opening game....)
I may sound really negative, but I am actually admiring how we managed to deal with the above to the tune of a Pac-12 championship, 31 win season and Sweet 16.
This team actually peaked early in my mind - the first 2 quarters of the UW New Year's Day game was the pinnacle, and then it started slipping a bit. We managed to really string together some success in the first half of the season, grind through the second half, use our D and luck to get to the Pac-12 tournament final......
Finally, events conspired against us today against FSU. No shame in that. Never feels good when we lose, but the ingredients of today's loss had been lurking for some time.
Go Beavs!

They did enough other things very well that they were able to overcome those weaknesses in most matchups. Specifically, defense, defense, rebounding and shooting %. They do a better job of blocking out (more like what they had typically done), and Syd gets even a couple of her 3s to fall, we would have had a very good shot moving on to the next round.
