Today is the two year anniversary of Raz pitching his perfect game. Sure was neat to witness history being made at Goss.
Imagine how awesome we will be when he returns. Who will he bump out of the rotation? Maybe he will have to be our
Tuesday/Thursday guy (only kidding).

He doesn't bump anybody. He has to earn his way back and prove he is still capable. Slowly I Imagine

I really think he will be spot relief. Probably for the rest of the year. Perhaps a short starting spot on a low pitch count if we make the playoffs
I don't care how good his "bullpen" is. I think we err on the side of caution

I think we err on the side of caution You beat me to it. I would be shocked it he actually started for us this season. It's a long road from throwing bullpen sessions to being our Fri/Sat starter down the homestretch of the Pac-11 race. |

Despite the miracles of modern medicine and rehab, I think it's best to hold off on using him till a "panel of 3 docs" can give him the thumbs up, as it were. Even if that means he goes in the draft this year and we've seen the last of him on the bump here. He's shown what he can do; given us a great season, and I don't want him to risk his future by slipping back into the rotation too soon.
We have the best staff in the nation right now; Drew would be the icing on the cake - may he throw again for us if it's at all possible.

I will be curious to see how his rehab and eventual insertion into the rotation or bullpen will compare/contrast with Jace Fry in 2013.
