Today they hung 19 runs on UCLA at Jackie Robinson, in the first game of a DH. Had to some from behind in the 2nd game, to win 4-3.
Two titans are going to duke it out at Goss. This is shaping up to be a super important series. I put my faith and trust in the good guys who wear orange and black. Hard to find enough superlatives this season to describe how freaking good they have been. According to Boyd's World, our current ISR #1, our current RPI #2. BTW, Zona's RPI is #1, ISR is #9.
GO BEAVS!

It will be a great series! I can't wait! According to Tweets yesterday by the D1Baseball staff, they expect the Beavers to be No. 1 in all polls on Monday!

Watching the Fri replay AZ-UCLA. They just pulled the players off due to fog. Routine F8 turned into a triple
looking for the Sat replay now

I thought the Arizona coach did a great job last season, but he did it with a lot of 5th year and 4 year seniors. This should have been a rebuilding year. Those great records he had at Nevada were not a fluke.

UA averaged 21 runs in a 3 game series with Hartford that'll skew some offensive numbers and probably says more about Hartford than UA. Take those away and the numbers are good but I think OS pitching is at a level that UA hasn't seen. And the Beavs will just keep running good arms to the mound. OS takes the series.

It's a home series... best be taking it to continue on the right path. It's not a "must win", but to Pac12 Champs you need to win home series vs the top competition.

Old addage. Good pitching beats good hitting. I expect PC and the boys to take care of their business this next weekend. Tough to expect a sweep, but they should win the series if they are looking to make a run to Omaha. Last year's snub may be just what the DR ordered for this year's motivation. Hard to become complacent when you feel like all you have is who is in the locker room with you.

We got swept by ASU in 2007 at home. Best to get hot near the end of the season.

We got swept by ASU in 2007 at home. Best to get hot near the end of the season. I remember that series. It sucked. We made 5-6 errors the very last game of the year. And yet they somehow found a way to win it all in Omaha. Best to get hot early and STAY HOT. I expect great things from this team this year. So far, so good.

It's a home series... best be taking it to continue on the right path. It's not a "must win", but to Pac12 Champs you need to win home series vs the top competition. As of right now: CBN: 1 Baseball America: 2 NCBWA: 2 USA Today/ESPN: 2 Perfect Game: 2 RPI: 2 Louisville is now at 36 in RPI with their 224th-best SOS. South Carolina has played the hardest schedule in the country and owns the top spot in RPI. It is certainly no "must win," but, absent a bunch of injuries or something of the like, the Beavers need to win all of the weekend series that they can to try and lock down a national seed. I know that it is Arizona, but a series loss in Corvallis will be a huge black eye to try and overcome. As far as the Pac-12: 2-1 Arizona @ 3-0 Oregon State 3-0 Washington @ 2-1 Oregon 0-3 Arizona State @ 2-1 USC 1-2 California @ 1-2 UCLA 0-3 Utah @ 0-0 Stanford Cal State Northridge @ 1-2 Washington State Oregon State needs to keep up with Washington (and their 52nd RPI). The Beavers have to travel to Seattle this year. Oregon States does not want to finish one game behind Washington again and be left to figure out what the committee does with the Huskies' RPI.
