I don't care who you are playing, even below average teams are going to find a couple of runs a game, and despite their record, ASU is young, but has put a lot of points on the board. To hold them to 1 earned run, to have far and away the best Era in the nation after 18 games/1-3 of the season is amazing. It does feel like putting 2 or more runs up and our opponents really start to press. Our only real area to improve on is Risp performance, gotta love this squad!
I am deeply disappointed tho, Mulholland isn't perfect anymore, he gave up a hit! 17 innings ON THE SEASON and he gives up a frickin HIT! And C-boy is leading the team in rbi and strike outs. We'really hitting .293, and our opponents are hitting .168. Some weekend it will go south on us, but with our pitching and defense, it can't go too far.
Oh, and can we just name our entire staff as Pac-12 pitcher of the week? And Nick player of the week and month.
