We were hanging in there up 2-1 and then zona hit there 2nd solo homer to tie it. 2-2 after 6. Even at 2-2 they had 6 line outs so they were squaring up the ball and we were fortunate. Going to the top of 7 I couldn't follow it cuz I KNEW what would happen. Came back 20 min later and we were down 6-2. 3 of their 4 runs were on a 3 run homer.
In fact, their 6 hole hitter has eight and our leader has four.
Our pitchers are batting practice for these upper teams. I know I know, it's pitching. Last great one we had was Brianna McGowan and we made it to the series. The shmuks landed the top two pitching recruits this year. Man I hate them. One thing I'll miss when I leave this planet is hating them.
If Minnesota can be the #7 ranked team in the nation there is no reason we can't do it. The other option is to join Portland State's conference for softball and compete instead of being a pack 12 doormat.
