Teams like this Beaver team find ways to win. Team looked rusty tonight. OSU's last game was March 5th while Long Beach State last played on March 11th. That's a really long time off. Hopefully the rust is off now.

3 pointers are why it was close. OSU shot well below their average and LBSU shot well above their average. If both teams had shot their season average it would have been a 24 point difference. Give LBSU credit for being on fire and preventing OSU 3s

Hard and fast rule in basketball, live by the outside shot, sooner, rather than later, you will die by it. There will be a game where you cannot hit your butt with both hands. The D will push you back a foot or so from your comfort range. It will just happen and it did. Surviving a game like this takes a quality team and quality effort. It was Long Beach's game to win and they just couldn't close the deal. Beavs had a lot to do with that.
