ASU's next arm isn't nearly as strong as Lingos. Freshman lefty, who has surrendered 17 walks in about 16 innings. I see the Beavs better able to string together getting guys on base and manufacture runs this game.
Some guys who's bat has betrayed them will get big hits tonight to propel them into the Pac 12. This roster has offensive talent just a couple guys to get locked onto the pitches.

we sure like to score early don't we? Lots of early inning runs this year ....and from reading the VERY active ASU forum (Devils Dugout***), ASU equally LOVES to give up runs early on. This young ASU lefty looks like he'll be behind in a lot of counts today. Aldrete with a gift for Beavs at SS. ***example, as the score goes 3-0: "Well this game is over. Play some damn defense and throw strikes!" |

Top of 3. Madrigal walks. Pitcher tosses to ss for easy doubleplay, but shortstop boots. KJ fc. Larnach sc fly. Good at bat when guy that flies on third. Very shallow, but Nick flies. 3-0.

High school scouting report on Madrigal says quick first step, but not overly fast. The guy flies.

Drinking beer and posting does not work. Another great bunt by Grenier. Far better bunting to get on base than he is at sac. Asu escapes, but OSU leads 3-0 heading to B4.

great to see all of these popups from Fehmel. Extra nice to see Donahue making a great play in LF. He's had his defensive scuffles (though they've been at 2B).
oooooh..and then a flip over the foul line wall. Donahue 'Thumbs up' returning to field. Being young and athletic has its rewards.

Good snag by Christian on a dying quail. Foul nabbed by Gret. Grounder to Cadyn. Former surfing dude Fehmel doesn't break a sweat.
