Women have to play like there is no tomorrow because if you don't take care of today, there is no tomorrow. Baseball is freaky. The season is long and a bad team can drill a good team which is what makes the game so much fun. Try to win 'em one at a time. Anything you get on the road is a positive.
Sparky Anderson said he only had to worry about 40 games a year. No matter how good you are, you are going to lose 60. No matter how bad you are, you are going to win 60. The trick is knowing which 40 to worry about.

Going to be over in your neck o' the woods this weekend, Sage. My brother and his family live up in the West Hills area. I'm going to tip a couple back at Boneyard, Deschutes, and Crux....my favorites over there. I'll be "celebrating" my 59th BDay. SIXTY (60) seems too damn old. The "up tempo" style worries me a bit...PLUS..they have a couple girls with 40 steals on the year. We GOTTA protect the basketball, ande, pound, pound, POUND it inside. Use some clock. |
