Pretty impressive start to their careers 28 1/3 IP 1 Er .....Small sample size, weak opponents, I get it. But they've been damn good so far.

I would love to see Jack mulholland get a shot at starting a mid week game, that kid can pitch.

I would love to see Jack mulholland get a shot at starting a mid week game, that kid can pitch. Personally, because it jibes with my own philosophy not because there is a right or a wrong, I like the way the Frosh are slowly being indoctrinated. I've been very critical of how some of the Frosh in the past have been tossed into the fire and built big inning counts. We've had several Soph slumps and too many arm injuries. Not that any one thing can directly correlate, but slowly working the Frosh into innings and pitch counts this year has been a huge plus for me as I watch this team progress As of now, we truly have not needed big production from them, yet when we needed a big out or inning they've come thru. Having pure raw talent, coupled with solid mechanics (most of the Frosh are very good in the balance points and not "rushing" through them to get ahead of their arms), is awesome. But, topped with confidence built by early success in short stints will pay off down the road when it truly matters. As of now... this is the best early season handling of our pitchers that I can remember. There was only one game in Phx I can remember thinking, "there is no reason he should be out there with score and pitch count... always try to end a appearance with a positive in a big lead situation...", which it did not. Anyway... I like what I see so far.
