Bottom 6 -1st and 3rd with one out, Donahue called out at home on safety squeeze. Thought he got a hand in there but that's a2nd straight inning we make an out at home. Lot of guys stranded tonight. On to the 7th...
Fehmel looks great...

Bottom 9 - Max comes in to close. K, K, groundout. 2-0 Beavs on a wet miserable evening. Kudos to those in attendance.

Fehmel goes 8 innings, gives up a single in the 2nd and a walk in the 8th. Retired 17 straight with a whole bunch of weak ground balls in that stretch..
Max with save #4.
Madrigal goes 2-4. He's now 17-43, .395. He has yet to strikeout. Pitching we're seeing now isn't what we will see in conference play but that's still damn impressive.

Fehmel looked excellent last night. The guy is a ground out machine. Max mowed 'em down, as usual. Pitching has been awesome this year, offense not so much.

Thank you for doing this for Beaver Nation. It's appreciated. You're welcome.....EugeneDave and I were there with a few hundred others but it wasn't too bad. Nearly 60 degrees and no rain until the last couple of innings!

Dammit. you're right. I'm going to take personal responsibility for jinxing him then since I looked it up in the 1st inning. I must have missed that AB last night - saw all the others. That's my fault, was half watching Blazer game as well.
I'm sorry Nick.
Some other nice numbers through the first 12:
Team ERA: 1.25 Opp BA: .187 Madrigal - 1K on the year. Gretler 1 K in 34 AB.
We also haven't committed an error in the last 4 games. Hopefully we have that cleaned up now.

I can't tell you when the last time I have seen that from any Beaver and especially Nick!

We left way too many men on base, and groan on the bunting efforts. I told the usher near me after the bottom of the second that we probably only needed two runs to win, and I am glad our pitching and defense made that prediction come true. Today is beautiful, going to be great weather for baseball!
