I'm not certain it is ironic, but it would be sweet!

Not that I put much stock into this bracketology conjecture nonsense but it would be idiocy to not put OSU in the Stockton Regional bracket as it is well known that Beaver Nation travels well especially when the event is within driving distance.
I see he has ucla, the schmucks and the debils along with Gonzaga in that Regional bracket. Oh, the irony! At least Stanford gets stuck with UConn and not the very nearby Stockton Regional.

Did I miss something? Why is Gonzaga a 12 seed?

Marquette isn't coming back to Gill. The committee avoids rematches as much as possible. The Bracketology guy doesn't get into that much detail - he watches for teams from the same conference, but he doesn't look at the non-conference schedule the way the real committee will.
The committee pays zero attention to attendance and fan travel. This is not a bowl game. The committee doesn't have that data and will not be part of their discussions. And that's a good thing for us - we may be pretty proud of having the best attendance in the Pac, but that's a really low bar. Last year we were #23 nationally - behind Middle Tennessee State, Gonzaga and New Mexico. Iowa State isn't even very good, and they average double what we do.

I just hope they remember the attendance for our tourney games here last year - substantially above our regular season and we will probably be close to a sell out for both games this year. That last game against Stanford really rocked with 9000+ in legendary Gill!

Did I miss something? Why is Gonzaga a 12 seed? They are so good they take both a 1 & a 2 seed?

Baylor losing on Monday night, and DePaul last night (to Marquette) should make things interesting. Of the two losing teams in those games, Baylor especially was playing at an intensity level well below their opponent. DePaul was on Marquette's home floor, after all, which definitely showed throughout the game. Baylor's demeanor of 'entitlement' during the game, particularly rubbed me the wrong way....on the other hand Baylor remains a favorite for a top 4 National Seed, so maybe they ARE in fact entitled. Based on what I saw Monday night, that's a bunch of crap.
