I know they tried that stunt at Goss last year and the umps would have none of it.

Standing and taking it is one thing, turning into it is another. If blue doesn't have the balls to make the call, then you do what you get away with. Sh!t, if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. BTW, as an old "blue" all you have to do is call it once and it goes away.

You are right about one thing though. If blue calls it, it does go away.

On a funny note, last year in my son's LL, one of the kids on his team who was hyper-conscious about getting hit, took his base when instead of jumping out of the way of a pitch, he caught it with his hand before it hit his body. Just took his left hand off the bat and caught it.

and tonight (Thursday 3/9) against Santa Clara, the duckies have achieved 6...SIX !...HBP so far, and they're only in the 8th inning.

It is essentially the 2011 interpretation of the hit-by-pitch rule this season rather than the 2015 version.
