#4 (LSU), #5 (South Carolina), and #6 (NC State) ranked teams all had two losses over the weekend.

Yahbut they are in the SEC and ACC. I'm sure some argument will keep them ahead.

I'm all for the recognition but it seems to me that Baseball is the least important to be ranked high in the polls.
If we win the Pac 11, we should be the host for regionals and the super regional and then after that... just win.
Admittedly, I do check the polls so don't let me come off as not being interested.
Go BEAVS!

Polls are only good for determining the hurt that ensues when the inevitable loss comes against a team we "should" have beaten. I think it is inversely logarithmic, but those concepts were invented after geezers attended our beloved institution.
(Oh, I forgot the hurt the comes from some so-called coach who screws his buddies when he had a chance--you know who you are. And as the old song goes, "I don't give a damn for the whole state of Washington")

Tough weekend for the mighty SEC. Got worked over in the Shriners Classic in Houston. Big 12 goes 7-2 vs SEC. LSU 1-2, Ole Miss 0-3, Tx A&M 1-2. South Carolina loses a series to Clemson (no shame in that) and Miss State loses to TSDTR.
Watch- next year LSU will go back to not leaving the state of Louisiana for the first month of the season. Maybe an away game AT Tulane or LA-Lafayette. LOL...

They keep the Committee honest, so that they do not just go down the RPI list and say, "Well, they have the best RPI, so they should be the #1 overall seed." (Like last year.) It did Oregon State no good last year, because the Beavers were unranked, but a top 8 ranking in the major polls should guarantee a national seed.
