I like the Beavers chances esp. playing in front of a mostly OSU crowd in Key Arena.

Very difficult to beat an evenly matched team three times in same season. There is not a lot at stake for OSU. We probably get same seed with a win or loss. A tournament victory probably means more to Stanford.

I think we are on the bubble for a number one seed. Our only chance will be if we win one more time, IMHO.

In the forty years I've been following Beavers sports winning the Pac-12 three years in a row is right up there with the Ralph Miller three-peat, Pat Casey's back-to-back championships, and Erickson's Tostitos Bowl victory. About every ten years we've been fortunate to have a sport climb to the top.

Massey's algorithm give a lot of weight to offensive production and margin-of-victory. Stanford has been winning by an average of 71-59, OSU by 64-56 (in conference). So their average margin is +12, ours is +8, and so the computer figures that Stanford is about four points better than us. (I'm sure their algorithm is more sophisticated than that, but the conclusion is the same.)
It has been this way all season. Massey has consistently kept us underrated in their score projections. That said, their overall rating has been Ok - better than the human polls. Massey had us a couple notches higher than the human polls for most of the season.

Game will tell a lot about our team's hunger going into the tourney. Stanford is playing for pride more than anything, while we are playing with only the incentive to continue ownage. (And a chance at a 1 seed)
