Portland Tribune article on Stanford game confirms earlier post it was a concussion. "The Beavers' other outside threat, 6-2 sophomore reserve guard Katie McWilliams, sat out the entire tournament after suffering a concussion during a practice session earlier in the week. They really missed her.
"Katie has become one of our best guard defenders," Rueck said. "Against this team, you need that size, length and experience. She's been in all the wars. She hit three 3's against UConn in the Final Four (last season). She hit three big 3's last week against Stanford.
"Not having her all week hurt our rotation. It burned people out. We felt that tonight, no doubt. You're in a championship game. You're going to give it all you've got; then pretty soon, that's dry. She would have played a big role this week, let alone tonight."Link
