While you are waiting for tomorrow's game, you can find several Seward County CC games on YouTube, featuring 6'8" OSU recruit Joanna Grymek. Just go to YouTube and search on "seward county womens basketball", or here's a couple links.

Well, I will say that I was able to determine that #55 has a remarkable ability to win the jump ball in the two game sample size :-). I am actually surprised Marie Gulich doesn't win more of the jump balls in our league, but there is definitely less of a height differential, and one that can be made up by vertical and timing.....
In the very few minutes I watched I was reminded of early Ruth Hamblin (space eater/rebounder on D, less on O) though some of limitations on O might have been because DC3 seemed to be doubling Joanna and trying to deny entry of the ball to her (since they weren't going to affect the shot much after that, made sense). She seemed to run the floor fairly well, though I have enjoyed seeing Bre, Kolbie and Marie sprint down the floor and actually be the scorer on fast breaks, while in earlier years we would in some sets "wait" for Ruth to get down the floor (though as Ruth came along, the disruption of having the big big set up through the established opponent D became something we exploited).
Thanks for posting this!
