Apparently her dad never taught her how to "share".

What a champion. I have really enjoyed the insights that Sydney has supplied throughout this column. And I am pretty sure we are not done seeing great things from Sydney, and will be proud to claim her as one of our own decades from now......
Man, does Scott Rueck know how to recruit. This is what I will remind myself of when we bemoan "the 5 star that got away".
Go Beavs!

There was a recent quote from Scott that this year during timeouts his senior leaders (Gabby, Syd, Kolbie) do more talking and give more direction (aka "coaching") than he does. And he LOVES IT.
That may be a little generous hyperbole on his part but it is part of the process. By the time the players are seniors they know the scheme and game plans as well as the coaches.
One of the reasons I'd love to have Bre back next year is for Taya C and Maddy to learn by playing against her in practice and along side her in games. Just like Bre, Kolbie and Marie benefited from practicing against and with Ruth for 2 or 3 years.
