Trade... I'm sure now that we've had Syd around for 4 years it's a "no".
I get it she's not a Beaver. But, there is no way you'd turn down almost 3400 pts and endless enthusiasm Plum shows for the game. I suppose people here would have turned down Pistol Pete (over 3600 pts... in only 3 seasons @ 44pts/game!) too.
It's not an insult to Syd to say Plum is a great player. She'd make every team better and certainly was well spoken and gracious. I'm sure she'd adapt to any system. She may take more than her share of shots, but UW would not have been as successful without it. People are ready to critique individual successes in a team game, but do some if you realize the emotional burden it carries? This scoring isn't on a losing team that scrapes along. She's carrying the program to unprecedented heights. She does it one way Syd the other.
Congrats Ms. Plum... a record not wasted as your teams have also been successful. And I for one hope your team gets upset before playing the Beavs!

She's an outstanding player, obviously. And personally i think this OSU team matches up very well with UW thank you very much. |

But, other than possibly the D end, Plum is more complete on many levels. IMHO... put Plum on OSU we're just as successful. She'd adapt to a different role as is a great leader over 4 years. Syd on UW... no way they are the same. Syd could never be a 30pt/game scorer and Neighbors doesn't have the roster to make up the other 14-16 pts a game. They are both GREAT players.
