On a positive note, Beavers didn't walk anybody, and Ohio State left lots of guys on base. Lol. Donahue played LF today.

Agreed. I'm not sure the errors cost us this game but if we don't get on top of it they will down the road. The offense can't be on fire every day/game and I haven't lost hope.... but we aren't good enough anywhere to be committing 3 errors a game regularly. Plus that just isn't Beaver Baseball And 12 over a 6 game stretch is getting to be a concern... and (2) from the mound??? Fehmel was not sharp at all, and was "surprised" (ya see... ah never mind) he was left in for the 5th. He clearly was laboring in the 4th. Rumor mill on the outfield berm... "guy talked to a guy" stuff... but, he heard it from two other separate sources... Our "ace" being advised by his "advisor" not to pitch this year and stay in shape until the draft!? Anyone hear that last weekend??? I see he is here with the team and it would seem strange to pay his way here if there was a glimmer of that going on....

Luke is of Friday night caliber. Fehmel doesn't appear to be of Saturday starter quality, at least so far - ERA over 4 and a WHIP of just over 1.5. Maybe Tweedt instead. And then from amongst Fehmel, Thompson, and/or someone else who steps up, find a 3rd weekend starter. The roster certainly holds a lot of possibilities in that vein. I'm guessing that between Casey & Yeskie they figure it out.

I actually thought Fehmel threw better today than last week. Worse results, but he had better command and better movement on the ball.

He's given up 15 hits and hasn't been able to scatter them well hence a 4 plus ERA. Rather have a guy pitching to contact than giving free passes. However plenty of talent on the staff if a change needs to be made.
