This site has a sense of humor . . .
"Utah stays at #5 despite the completely controversy-free, gentle stroll through the meadow against UCLA that resulted in a 197.875 and had no issues for us to talk about at all."
"This is different from UCLA’s official weekly total because it includes Monday’s meet against Bridgeport/USU. That score doesn’t change the ranking, however, because it was horrible."
"That Cal PA announcer will be figuring out the bars lineup any minute now."

Reportedly, the capacity crowd at Huntsman had a number of over-zealous fans who flipped off some of the UCLA gymnasts and booed some UCLA scores. UCLA coach Valorie Kondos Field publicly expressed her disappointment.

It would be nice if we could hit a 197 and drop that 195.5 at the same time. I also think we got homered a bit at our last meet - it was amazing how Cal managed to hit season highs in every event and stay barely ahead of us after every round. But gymnastics scoring is a 50 shades of niggling little point deductions and routine degree of difficulty determination anyway to me.

That seem to change from competitor to competitor, team to team with the same judge! I do not understand a lot about the intricacies of the sport... but, I can recognize when a deduction seems applied inconsistently between teams. And, recognize the same is being contemplated by a coach when you see their facial expressions/read their lips!! But, at least there are no replays and challenges!
