I want to hear your opinion on the weekend. Don't criticize other posters, Just state what you thought you saw/heard.
1. Pitching - Pretty darn good being that we are missing Rasmussen and Hickey. Heimlich, Tweet, and Thompson all did a really good job starting. I think even Fehmel did a good job even though he gave up some hits and runs. Bullpen was lights out. Haven't been able to say that in a while. Nice job by the young guys and Max coming in to shut it down on two occasions. Team ERA of 0.75....yes please!
2. Offense - I think this team is very patient at the plate. I was worried that Harrison might be pressing, but he seemed to come around as the weekend progressed. Rutschman will learn how to hit, took several walks which is a good sign. Nice to see Larnach live up to the hype. We probably could have scored more runs, but LOB's are part of the game and everyone hates them. Team BA of .270....no bad, but Indiana pitched well and kept us off the bags.
3. Defense - Six errors in the field is a bit much....buy with several new guys playing that's expected. I'm sure that will shore up as they figure out the lineup. Plus I heard the field was really wet and slippery.
4. Announcing - John was bad, just getting that out of the way. But at least it was on the radio and he had Hank Hager there to help him out. I won't go into too much there.
5. Fans - I wasn't there......but sounds like we represented well. Nice job Beaver Nation.
