5 1/3, 3 H, 1 ER, 8 K 2 BB. 90 pitches, 60 strikes. If I am reading gametracker correctly - he faced 21 batters, threw 21 first pitch strikes. That's big.
Always thought he had good stuff, but couldn't seem to string together strong innings and got behind a lot.

It *feels* from here at least - that Jake isn't missing as many bats now, working a little deeper into counts... He's now at 90 pitches. Do we know who is warming up? Should have a very rested pen today. For sure. Jake had lost a lot of velocity that last inning. Jake pitched well, but the best aspect is he didn't get rattled in a lot of situations that would have got to him in earlier days |

Awesome weekend by the staff. Unofficially, I think that's 3 ER in 36 IP. 37 K, 11 BB. Great contributions by a lot of young guys too. Let's do it again next weekend!

I like Jay Bird. When he had his local radio show in Bend, he interviewed me twice live on the air. He prepped me well, took care of me on the air, phrased his questions so he only got the right answers that made me sound good (it was for a local, charity thing.) After it was over, he promoted the thing well. Can't say enough good about him.
