First it's two games... 2 games, especially the first two of your college career, is hardly a slump.
Second, you have to be a "proven commodity"/have a track record to actually classify something as a slump.
Third... was quite "surprise"d (ha, see what I did there??!) to see him bat above the 7 hole. As a true Fr who spent all Fall with the football program getting cuts where he could I did not see him as that developed on the offensive side. The few ABs I saw in scrimmages I would have never seen him higher than possibly the 6/7 hole. I think he will develop, but he'll also see much better pitching than he saw Friday.
On the other side of things we only totaled 10 hits. I would expect a little more from the experienced guys:
The G-boys 0/11 Donahue 2/7 but 3 k's is unlike him KJ 1/6 Cary's 0/5 more understandable with the time away

Is this a real thread? Do we really have players slumping after Day 1? Should we bench KJ? He's hitting .167!!!

Seriously ?? Tigard was being funny. He likes to shake things up. Adley really does have good plate presence. I can see him eventually settling into the 4th spot. Both umps had a good 6 inch grace area on the outside to guys swinging from the left side. Though Adley is a switchitter, I think he was mostly lefty for his outs. Lefties really had it tough, particularly for a disciplined guy

Turnovers vs Left on Base Hard to tell with Jon warren doing the PbP but sounded like he hit a couple hard. Plus 3 walks. Do not take any analysis of mine seriously. I have watched a lot of baseball. Mostly the tee ball level.

Adley's real problem is his glove. He can't catch a cold out there.
