Casey doesn't have his usual negative, play-it-down speech. That's almost frightening. It sounds like he is pretty positive and expects great things.

I thought the same thing when I was listening to the interview this morning. "WIN"... he was very much like himself in that regard. How we play is far less important than getting W's... I agree. The only time the "how" is concerning is when it's become a regularity vs inferior opponents that will cost you W's later. |

Great interview, with good pre season info....
So I'm putting Grenier at 3b based on the process of elimination.
Sounds like the Freshman from Sherwood is going to play a large role, starting catcher, could play 1b or DH?
Questions....
Where does Carey fit in? CF and RF are still getting worked out? Maybe in response to Nobauch not being on the roster?
Last question.... What was Nick's off season surgery? Thumb? I remember he was taped up at the end of last year but didn't hear about surgery. Just 1 more full day without Beaver baseball.

It sounds like Grenier 2B and Grettler 3B when Rutschman catches (which will be the norm). Grenier 3B when Grettler catches with Donahue or someone else at 2B.
Nick hurt his shoulder on a swing vs Portland at Keizer last year.
