Beavers up 2-0 after 5. We are very fortunate at this point. Our frosh pitcher is hanging tough. She has had many 3 ball counts and was 32 strikes 30 balls to their pitchers 36 strikes to 16 balls towards the end of the 5th. Luckily Kayleen Shafer hit a two run homer. The next 6 outs will be tough ones.

Frosh Nerissa Eason pitched a 2 hit complete game shut-out. Very encouraging.
Noteworthy - cuz we always strive to get better
Struck out 8 times. Out of 21 outs that's almost 40 percent.
Had 3 errors to their 0.
We left only 1 runner on vs. their 7.
Eason's performance was gritty as she continually fought back in the count (which is a good thing). Her strike to ball ratio was 49/38 vs. the Hawaii pitcher's 52/22.
I thought we were fortunate to win tonight but a win none-the-less. Go Beavs!
And we outhit them 4-2 and it was a double and HR that put us up 2-0 in the 2nd.
