I researched the games Katie Mayhue (Class of 2018 Beaver commit) has played and compiled what I could of her stats. What i found is that she is averaging about 22.8 ppg, with a high of 33 and a low of 10 (includes all but the game against Sweet Home, which I could not find stats for).
MaxPreps has a list of scoring leaders for 5A, but the leader is Taycee Wedin (LaSalle High School, teammate of Aleah Goodman) at 20.9 ppg. Mayhue is not on their list. Their leader for 6A is Bria Dixson (Franklin High School) at 22.9 ppg)
I couldn't find any stats for Katie on MaxPreps (her games had no detailed box score), so I suspect their coverage misses a lot. I had to dig the numbers out of Albany Democrat Herald articles off the web. Anyway, it looks like she is one of the leading scorers in the state, but is not getting recognized for it. Of course, MaxPreps may have missed others. Also, you might wonder how Katie would do against 6A competition. There were only two games where stats other than points were listed. I'm really curious about her ball handling and passing skills! Maybe someone in Corvallis can go scout their game against CV on 2/17 and give us a report??
