The Nancy Lieberman award is for the top Point Guard in the country. Syd was on the watch list, but failed to make the final ten. www.hoophall.com/awards/the-nancy-lieberman-award/finalistsKelsey Plum and Jordin Canada made the list. I blame it on her breaking the 3-point record. East Coast voter (who never sees any of these girls actually play) just assumes that she's nothing but a bomber.

Big deal... I mean Id love her to get kudos, but she is what she is. As GREAT as she's been for OSU and as great of young woman she is, she's not a great PG. She runs the point for us, handles the rock a lot... but I'd consider her more of a SG with handle.
Privately I'm sure it hurts, but she'll just turn it in to motivation to help us win!

I worry about next year's team without Syd. SHE IS the heart and soul. Somebody(bodies) will need to step up. The talent is there, no doubt...Syd has intangibles.

And we were going to have a big drop this year without Ruth, Jamie and Devon.
In Rueck I trust.

Joanna Grymek is 6'8". In 25mpg she is averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, on a team that is 22-1 and ranked 7th nationally.
