Congratulations to the Lady Beavs for the Arizona road trip! This group clearly does not have the offensive firepower of last year's team, so it is super impressive to me to see them winning so many games based mostly on consistent outstanding defense and teamwork.
On another note, it appears to me that Katie Mac has the potential to be a great offensive player based on her athletic ability, size, etc., etc. Whether she will ever become that will depend on her being able and/or willing to alter the trajectory of her shot (i.e. a higher arc). Now she misses so many shots because they either hit the rim before getting inside the cylinder or when they do get inside the rim, the arc is so flat they often clang out of the cylinder.

I've also noticed what I call a "line drive" shot by Katie. Most of her shots look to be on target then miss as you described. A higher arch would give more of them a chance to go through. This also seems to be afflicting several of the ladies free throw success (or lack of).

It was either his coach or dad used to guard him using a broom handle or the like. Great idea. Hope someone tries that with her.

And her Dad is a whale of a coach. Good player too.

You don't understand, baseba1111. Scott NEEDS us! Every day he comes to us for coaching tips, and we have to step up to the plate.
Of course, we all have to understand that if the girls play poorly, it OUR FAULT for not coaching them up properly. Let's take responsibility, people!
(PS: I gave up analyzing shots the first time I saw Chantel Osahor pitching treys that were flatter than my first girlfriend.)

(PS: I gave up analyzing shots the first time I saw Chantel Osahor pitching treys that were flatter than my first girlfriend.) I still shake my head every time she hits that shot. (Which is pretty much every time she takes that shot.) Unbelievable that would ever go in its so flat!
