I know it is to be expected, but it's frustrating listening to the homer AZ audio whining about fouls. Beavers up 28-23. Wiese not shooting well.

32-25 at the half. Looking for the typical spurt of offense in the 3rd. Still no Kalmer... don't understand that.
Edit: I guess Kalmer was in for about 4 minutes. I missed a bit due to internet connection problems. Missed one shot and came out. Wish I understood what the issue is. Did anyone catch her time... bad pass? rush a shot? ??

I'm loving the halftime program though, especially the Tucson Prunes. That's some great entertainment.

The way he tells it they'd be up by a dozen if the refs weren't calling non-existent fouls on them while letting us get away with using brass knuckles. Also tired of missing half of our possession every time they score because of replays and infographics on the player. Fine, show their picture/name/etc one, then don't do it again. Looking forward to opening it up after half. |

Besides little contribution by Wiese, I see we have 10 turnovers already (AZ has 6). Brown doing well with 8pts, 8 rebounds. Gulich... surprisingly 0 rebounds to this point.

And the infographics are not as bad as the OS feed. Where they replay the shot 2x's and then return to the action |

Final Beavers 65 , Mildcats 57. Discovered late that the Beaver audio was pretty well in synch with the video; I could have saved myself a lot of misery (listening to the ultimate Homer AZ play-by-play, who took it to a whole new level in the 2nd half!).
Not a pretty game, but the positives were:
Breanna Brown 16 pts, 13 rbs
Mikayla Pivec seemed to come out of her slump a little with more agressiveness, 6pts, 7rbs, 3 assists
Hansen shot better 13 pts, 5 of 8 (but didn't hit any of her 3's).

Their play-by-play guy was quite good describing the action, but his incessant whining about the fouls was horrible!

A UA basketball announcer whining about a free throw disparity is so rich is makes you sick. What he doesn't understand is that it is a reflection of the style of defense... position defense (OSU) vs. aggressive defense that tries to get the steal. He just couldn't conceive of any explanation for the disparity besides biased officiating! |

He admitted time and again that he didn't have a clear view on most of the fouls, and sometimes he'd even admit that it was a good call . . . but still he droned on about it.

I muted the sound and kept track of the score difference in my head, until I had to check to see how much time was left. Every single time that I turned the sound back on, he was complaining.
