Yeah what is the line of thinking of moving him to S? Is it something the kid wants so they are just appeasing him? Or is he pretty filled out and doesn't have the frame to pack on another 30 lbs. I've watched him since grade school off and on, I don't think he can get to 235-240, you never know, but he is more rangey (sp) than stocky, I think they try him a S first, or maybe a hybrid type player. They will find the best position for him and the team. It will be fun to watch how things develop with David. I haven't gotten to see him play live, but his film, the assessments of his attitude and skill set, and interviews with people who have been around him cause me to believe that we may be looking at a high impact local kid along the lines of Meuwsen (sp?) or Swanny on our D. Very exciting. Occasionally, a kid comes along who is a hybrid type - guys who can cover downfield, are explosive against the run and can wreak havoc on blitzes. Dante Buchanan wa that type of safety for the Cougs a while back, and the Cardinals moved him to a hybrid position in the NFL. They call him a linebacker, but he can run with people in the slot or seam routes. Sounds like Morris could be that type of athlete!
