our 4* guys not withstanding (lets see if they qualify...) Bradford and Moran are the gems of this class for sure. Bradford is a major under the radar guy and under recruited. he was a monster in the 7 on 7 leagues. a dynamic guy that can develop for us. Moran is a rock solid TRUE dual threat. Collins is a single threat, albeit a huge threat on those legs. Moran tossed for over 2000 yards, 22 TDs against 10 INTs, and rushed for over 800 his senior year. Good thing we got in early and stayed with him. He is (for now) the future I think.

Hate to say this but my money is on Bradford decommiting and becoming a Coug. No evidence just a gut feeling. Sure hope I'm wrong because he would be great as a Beav!

Any loss on recruiting to a Pac12 school is tough... but, if I kid wants to catch a LOT of balls/get PT then Leach has the system you want to go to. That being said... I'm never too high on HS recruits until they're college players who contribute. Watching Bradford versus HS competition is one thing, but I just wasn't seeing him as a difference maker at the this level for what we need. Getting the top Oregon players seems to be a mantra for coaches... as it should be to gain public support. But, it is coach speak in many ways. If kids are not talented in the areas of extreme need, or are projects they are taking up valuable schollies unless you get them to walk on. Granted, we have lost some good in-State kids lately, but we are NEVER getting them all. So, recruit a bunch, hopefully sign the KEY ones you really want/need. If I kid goes elsewhere I like keeping tabs on them and wish them well... except for the one Saturday they may be our opponent.

Bet you 1,000 bucks you are wrong... (Bradford is enrolling early to join the Beavers for spring ball... as the Oregonian is reporting)

Bradford has signed an LOI with Oregon State - "decommiting" is not in the cards.

He has signed a Financial Aid Agreement, not an LOI - my bad. Decommiting is still not in the cards.

I just read an article about FAAs. It makes no sense to only bind the university. If only the university is bound, why does the recruit need to sign anything. Every time I have ever signed something it was to denote MY binding commitment. I don't understand the logic of this. Ohhh wait! This is the ncaa, It doesn't need to make sense, and would probably confuse everyone if the ncaa suddenly started making sense.

I've done more reading. Players can, and have, signed multiple FAAs, thereby insuring scholarships at all the schools he is interested in; should he ultimately decide to attend.
Why would a player NOT sign an FAA instead of an LOI? On the other hand why would a school offer an FAA? I read that coaches are lobbying the ncaa to make them mutually binding....but that makes too much sense and it IS the ncaa afterall.

But, on the other hand if mutually binding it would then just be a LOI. The NCAA is a mess/joke on multiple levels, it's amazing how "powerful" and influential they must be to continue with the ineptness for so long. Any comment on the simplified analogy... new leader elected every so often who decries the need for "change", once in charge goes with the flow of the corrupt/inefficient system constantly under scrutiny, run by the "old cronies" who obviously must reap benefits of the status quo, and.... please continue at the risk of your own frustration level!

It would be curious to see how many kids have signed multiple FAAs. I would think that would signal "flake" in a big way, even more than changing verbal commitments.
