Corey Buchanan
@coreybuchanan23
Wilsonville's Zach Reichle scored 27 points off 3-point plays in the 2nd half and finished with 56 points. That is a school record.

We should get a needed shot in the arm offensively from Reichle and Ethan T next fall. If we can just keep everyone healthy and Kone is completely healed, maybe this sad season will fade away more quickly!

Is he trying to say that he made 9 3's? I think that's what he's trying to say.

Is he trying to say that he made 9 3's? I think that's what he's trying to say. I think that's obvious, but by definition a "3 point play" could be a 3 point field goal, a 2 point field goal + 1 free throw, and/or 3 free throws.

Anyhow, Reichle went 20-25 from the field, 9-13 from 3. 7-7 FT. 56 pts, 8 Rebounds, 6 Assists, 5 steals. That's a nice night. If he can play defense, I'd say let's throw a uniform on him tonight!

That is a crazy stat line. 80 % from the field where more than half the shots were 3's? Impressive, to say the least. Throw in 6 assists on a 56 point night...that's psychotic. In a good way.

Nothing against Reichle but it was versus one of the worst 5A teams I've seen in some time, Milwaukie 0-6/1-13... won the first meeting by 40 and he's in this game (it was never a game) ahead by 30+ (win by 42) almost up to the end. That Roche ("...he did it in the flow of the game"... ya almost the whole game!) is quite a guy!!!
And, "no", I have no ties to Milwaukie or anyone on the team.

Talked to someone that was there to see it. They were running it up on a very poor team, I heard they had like 8 kids(don't know if that's right), he was hot, and they just keep feeding him. Never impresses me when a team does that to some other kids that are overwhelmed and lack talent, very poor taste. Wilsonville is a pretty good team, not impressed with the coaches antics at all.

I was one of the refs at Milwaukie's only win this year and no they aren't a good team by any means. They struggled to beat an even worse 5A/6A team. Wilsonville also never lets up either....

God bless you man. I can't imagine being a high school ref. Seems completely thankless. When I watch my kids, I usually sit by myself, away from the other parents. Either someone is complaining about the coaches because their kid isn't playing or someone is complaining that the refs are conspiring against them.. or both. Anyhow.. that's my rant - but thanks for doing that.

I see your point and am not at all surprised that the numbers came against one of the worst teams around--a lot of great performances in sports come against weak competition. On the other hand, 9/13 (69%) from behind the arc and 7 of 7 at the stripe are excellent percentages even if you are just shooting around at the gym by yourself.

I can't go 9/13 from three in an empty gym, on an eight foot hoop with a women's ball... So yeah, kind of rude of the coach to let his star go off when he was in a flow, but... still point remains the dude can score the ball Truth be told I probably can't go 9/13 on layups in an empty gym

I hope he has a good career at OS and he sounds like a really good student. But I am going to temper my enthusiasm for now, as who offers a player is usually a pretty good indicator of what type of prospect they are, in this case Richie's offers are from OS, the Ivy League an Big Sky schools. Maybe he develops but there is a reason that Power 5 schools were not interested.
