Looked terrific on TV. The victory on the mat helps too.
New
Old (pretty sure it dates from the Pettibone era).

Inserting McLeod a December transfer into the lineup at 184 really makes the lineup a lot more solid. Now Coleman and Dobler can wrestle at there true weights. I think things are coming together and the team may be starting to peak at the right time (although they have been inconsistent recently as well). They have a much better chance to defend the Pac-12 title now. The biggest problem is they have not performed well over the season at many weights so they will probably not be qualifying very many spots for the NCAA championships. This means they will have to either win Pac-12s or upset some wrestlers to qualify. Only weights that they may have qualified thus far are 133, 149, 197 and 285.
There were some upsets today against Stanford that I enjoyed. I would consider 125, 133, 285 and possibly 197 as upsets. It looks like Crawford and Griego have really settled into their new weights. I know 285 will be Crawford's permanent weight and I think 197 will be Griego's for the foreseeable future (to my eyes he has bulked up quite a bit). Crawford was down to 200 in November and he is now up to 245, that is amazing to me.
I enjoyed the match today!

McLeod helps a ton - not sure we'll always get that type of performance out of him, but sure was nice to see last night! As a team we wrestled so much better compared to last weekend. What a difference a week makes. I think Colt Doyle is going to come in and solidify 74 next season too, so I think we're pretty close to being back in business. Will be interesting to see what happens w/Crawford if Dhesi is back to full strength next season.
