The 'sucks are obviously closing the gap. All of their external advantages (limitless resources, great facilities, Nike U. persona and pimp philosophy from administration and certain millionaire benefactors) in the process make it inevitable. However, the internal advantages of OSU (character-first emphasis, family-first atmosphere led by the head coach and a blue collar work ethic, and tremendous success over the past half-decade) will insure that no matter how high that program soars, it won't surpass our's as long as Rueck is in charge! I noted Ionescu's stat line. She's apparently as good as advertised. While she did nothing wrong in choosing to play down south, her dramatic approach in the process just rubbed me wrong. Having said that, she clearly will be a force - eventually POY type in the years to come. Good is good, and she is, despite the sucky team she plays for! |

It was that close to going in She's a player. And no i don't think she is a "me" player. She has had 3 triple doubles in the first half of her freshman year. The Pac 12 record for a career is like 6 or 7. She is a money player |

The Pac 12 record for a career is like 6 or 7. She is a money player Statistically, Ionescu hs attempted 239 shots, 43 more than the next highest player on their team (and Ionescu has missed 4 games due to injury). Of those 239 shot attempts she has made 88 for a FG% of 36.8. It seems clear that the coach wants everything to go through her (I'm guessing here) and that does not necessarily making her a 'me' player... She was a high ranked player coming out of HS but I'm glad she's not on our team and that Pivec is... |
