Since when did 5'9" 190lb become "diminutive"?? Especially for a running back, 5'9" seems to be in line with most of the star college backs these days, and as a guy who lists his height generously at 5'10" I have never felt I was anything other than average, and the statistics bear that out, average height for a 20 year old male is just under 5'10" at 69.7 inches. Being much taller than that for a RB can actually be a detriment, leverage baby, just ask Jacquizz.
IRT TJ Green, Last I saw he had just reopened his recruitment, I assume that means we are still in the running? Although the aggressive courting of Mr. Tyler may mean the coaches don't think we are...

Barry Sanders was 5'9" and 200 lbs... Not saying that he is the next Barry Sanders but it sure does seem like these 'little' guys do well running the ball in college...

Looks solid. On film he looks like an explosive north/south runner. Doesn't really remind me of Quizz who's lateral mobility was off the charts. I'll be surprised if we win the battle for Green. Utah needs a starter now and we're deep with Nall and Pierce.

Relative to Utah, who had to coax a player out of retirement to be the starting running back last year, we are deep. But you're right, having only two backs is not deep.

Like to see Beavs bring in another ready to go guy this year even if it means JC.

Maybe he is a gamer and just needs some runs.

I think Jaylynn Bailey is a solid 3rd option and has been very close to earning a scholarship.

Bailey has issues with holding onto the rock... has in practices and some in both Spring games. I'll compare this to hoops/Dahlen types, except here we have two viable D1 starters, if he's getting PT we're not good enough.
