Green just announced he's "reopening his recruitment".. coincidentally, Calvin Tyler just moved up his announcement to this afternoon from tomorrow.
And perhaps - shots fired - from Calvin Tyler to TJ Green?

And perhaps - shots fired - from Calvin Tyler to TJ Green? he is built and runs like Ken Simonton. Maybe doesnt have as quick feet but is more powerful. Built like a road grader. |

I did a quick check and Tyler led all rushers in the state of TX with his 2,800 and is #15 in the nation... Some dude had over 4,400 yards rushing last year!

Impressive indeed for yardage, but remember he did play at the 4A level (Texas not only has 6 classes, but 2 divisions in each). Texas football is good, but he was well out of the top 100 in the state and although 4A Texas football is far superior to 4A Oregon, it's not chocked full of D1 talent. My guess if he signs he's a RS unless he can return kicks/punts. |

The composite ranking on Tyler has him slightly ranked higher than Green. In my opinion Tyler has the more durable body type and is slightly quicker and Green has better elusiveness and top end speed. I would like both, but if you told me I had a choice between the 2 I would probably go with Tyler. I happened to watch BJ Baylor's highlight video who is visiting this weekend. He may not have much interest, but looked very impressive to me on video. His speed looked very good, elusiveness was good, he had good power and he appeared to make very smart decisions. He had over 2000 yards as well this last year. I do not know what competition level he is at. He definitely looks like he could be a steal. His running style looks very natural and gives him good balance.
