Sorry Glove if this is the wrong board for this.
The ladies kick off the season soon and I'm stoked. I was wondering if any of you out there know how to find out what happens to some of these girls who disappear from the roster each year. As I've become more and more interested in following the team the last handful of years I've noticed girls missing from the roster the next season. Girls that had at least a fair impact.
Case in point; Madison Anthony was a very solid 3rd baseman last year who had a tremendous arm and really good power and she is not on the roster. I understand all the possible reasons but when you follow these kids and root for them you become a fan of the person as well as the performance and just wonder the how's and why's.
Any help is appreciated.

All I can add to the convo is that the couple of games that I watched last year on TV, announcers made several comments about Anthony as if she had been under some sort of team discipline and had only returned to the field recently. Take that FWIW, but I guess she could have been on a short leash. I honestly couldn't recall if she was a SR or not. I do know I liked both her game, and the way she filled out the uni.

I knew about her benching last year. I just wondered if it was that, grades or something else. Things happen. Last year a somewhat touted pitcher was gone from the roster after her freshman year. Year before that I went to a game over halfway through the season and a few innings in I realized 2nd baseman Ya Garcia was not there. Like I said, things happen. I hope the best for them and am sad to see 'em go.

It took me a while a couple of years ago when Natalie Hampton missed a year to find out that she was injured and would be back. We're lucky to get much info beyond the box score in a lot of the sports. It's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy: there's not much interest in the sport, so there's not I h coverage. But without much coverage, there won't be any interest in the sport.

In talking with someone who makes it to a number of games recently, it sounds like we may have an incoming pitcher that could finally give us the ace that we've been missing since our heydays a decade ago. Did anyone catch any fall ball?

Everyone in the P-12 has at least one ace. What you need is about three aces in softball.
