Kroon was one last year as a freshman that always made me nervous...happy to see him leave hole...

Is that a grades thing? Or spend a year at CC and get drafted?

Is that a grades thing? Or spend a year at CC and get drafted? It could be both, or neither, or some combination of the two. Same result either way.

Looking at his Twitter account, it could be a return to AZ to play at ASU next year as a possible 3rd option.

His freshman year was definitely a struggle at the plate - very normal when making the big jump from HS to D-1/PAC 12 pitching (remember Morrison's freshman year?) Kroon though, with a .184 BA and a .490 OPS, seems odd that he would be their projected starter at 3B. By comparison, Grenier at 3B was also making the big adjustment from HS to PAC 12, but he performed at the plate at least acceptably, with a .240 ba / .653 ops. Don't remember Kroon's defensive skills, but it would be hard to surpass what Grenier showed us defensively. Doesn't seem like much of a loss for the Ducks.
