At least at this point in time (and this was true over the last two years as well)- OSU Women's Basketball is the class of the Pac-12.
We have the best record and stand atop the conference standings. We have among the best coaching (SR has proven he is a program builder). We have among the best players (POY last year, various Pac-12 records falling to our players, among the leaders in several stat categories). We have the best home attendance. We have become a perennial NCAA early round host. We have top 20 recruiting classes.
Feels pretty dang good (especially due to the state of some of our other sports [sigh]).
Last night made it clear: we are the new Stanford in this sport. And saying that warms the heart of this Beaver believer.
Live in the moment - this may not last forever, the wolves are always at the door, but we also need to savor this......
Go Beavs!

I recall they still looked as if they were coached that year, but nevertheless it was not until year 4 that we saw this great trajectory. We are fortunate to have SR.

With all due respect, we've got a little ways to go to be the "new Stanford" in WBB.
2 NCAA Championships 2 NCAA Championship runners-up 12 NCAA Final Fours 24 Conference Regular Season Championships. 11 Conference Tournament Championships.
Nice to be at the top of the standings at 4-0 with 3 top 20 wins. Looking forward to the UCLA game.
BTW I'd add to your list: Best radio PBP announcer Ron Callan.

Very difficult game to do PbP I am so much of an old timer that I can safely say I still miss Darrell Aune :-). That said, Ron does a very good job of presenting a balanced view of the action ("homer" announcers are quite irritating - listening to the OkSU announcers during the Vegas tournament reminded me of that fact). Go Beavs!

Details, details :-). You are absolutely correct. We are still upstarts given your list. But we seem to be sustaining the "upstart" momentum in WBB, which was the real point of my post. Most of our programs take a step back and go up and down in performance with all sorts of excuses (valid or not)......not WBB. I have mentally been revising my goals each week of the season - the progression has gone something like this: winning record top 5+ Pac-12 finish make some noise in Pac-12 tourney get to WNIT go deep into WNIT get an NCAA invite get past the first round host the first two rounds Sweet 16 berth back to the Final 4 : : I won't jinx the matter with telling you where I am at on that progression today, but I see in the bracketology we are being project to host the first two NCAA rounds...... Go Beavs!

Go Beavs! As of right now we are well on our way to 3 straight conference championships, so in that way we are the new Stanford. For years it was expected that Stanford would win the conference. Like you said the "new" Stanford, not the old one with all the history.

I remember last week many on here were hoping for a split of the bay area games last weekend or the first 4 conference games. I'd say were doing well having gone 4-0.
