I sure would love the opportunity to see the ladies here in Portland every year!! Go Bears!! Crowds could not be worse than men's games! And, much larger if you could get like the Zags to co-host and bring in the Tennessee, Baylor, Duke, ND types... 3 quality teams and an up and comer mid major would be awesome!

Totally agree. This is one hard nosed, well coached basketball team. As of now, we have some great coaches inside our program - prioritized 1) Casey - back to back NC's and consistently elite 2) Rueck - Mr Basketball of Women's Basketball 3) Andersen - has us on the right track 4) Gymnastics - always a great team, but not quite at National level yet 5) Wrestling - need to amp this one up, been losing some tough recruiting battles 6) Cannot figure men's basketball out. Tinkle may be in over his head in the PAC 12. I am a little concerned that we chase after either coaches sons, Ex Montana players and walk ons and projects. We need to go big on our recruiting net. 7) Women's softball should be STRONG this year. They certainly loaded up on pitching. Don't know enough about soccer or golf or T&F, or anything else, to comment. But, it's a great day to be a Beaver !

I went to a Damn Classic Beaver game last month and there was hardly anyone there. So, to your point, baseball1111, I think they would sell more tickets than the men's team. And, another marketing and recruiting opportunity for the program!!!

Maybe we could name the women's tournament the DAM CLASSIC and the men's version the DAMN CLASSIC. Just sayin'.
