I was looking over the game notes for the Stanford game, and realized that while Sydney Wiese now owns the Pac-12 record for 3 pt shots made with 309, there is an active player not that far behind her - 22 made 3 pointers behind her to be exact, and that would be the prolific Kelsey Plum, with 287. This season, Sydney is 39-84 (.464) through 15 games, while Plum is 59-129 (.457) through 17 games. The Beavers have 16 more games for sure, the Huskies 15 (likely +1 more for each, since both are bound for the NCAAs). Wiese's scoring in the Pac-12 season has dropped from 15.6 to 14.7, while Plum went from 30.2 to 30.3...... At any rate, not the most important issue of the season, and likely one that will be decided by the more important stat (how far each team goes in the Pac-12 and NCAA tournaments), but something to keep an eye on nonetheless. From my perspective, it would be a shame for Sydney to not own the Pac-12 title in 3's made for a long time to come, so here's to the Beavers going all the way in the Pac-12 and NCAA tournaments, and to a quick exit from both for Plum and the Huskies :-). Go Beavs!
