JC OL George Moore: Seems to be racking up more offers each week. Utah the latest. Doesn't feel like we're in the mix any longer at this point. It's getting real crowded.
LB Daniel Green: Down to us, K-State, Utah. I've been worried about him getting into school. He did just tweet out SAT scores came back and he thanked the man upstairs FWIW...
LB Rahyme Johnson: Visited, but says we haven't been in contact in a while. Is that because of Green? Is that because of grades? Is that because of monster super secret verbal commit LB behind door #3?
DT Brandon Pili: Awful quiet here. He's the guy I really wanted us to land in-state. As far as I know we're still in the mix with USC, UCLA, Ole Miss and Colorado.
S Trajon Cotton: He might be the next guy to commit IMO. Getting the full court press from some of our other verbal commits. Beavs, Nebraska, Cal, Colorado...
JC CB Vosean Crumbie: Mentioned him before, JC CB from Ventura visiting next week...
JC WR Aaron Short: 6'1" 190 from Sierra. Don't know much about him.. visiting this month.
WR Reggie Roberson: 6'0" 185 from Dallas TX. Was a Kansas commit. Sounds like he will visit this month as well. Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, ECU, others
CB Tayari Venable: Former WSU verbal. Visited back in September. Think it's between us and the Cougs.
Not hearing anything in terms of a 2nd RB, haven't heard of any other JC lineman either - but that's one area where I definitely think we'll learn of some names in the next few days now that Agasiva is off the board.

Agasiva to Utah (grrrrr) and Moore likely headed elsewhere, number 1 priority for the rest of the recruiting season IMHO is a JC O-Lineman that can come in and compete for a starting spot! There are a few out there who haven't signed yet... How about these guys: Isiah Moore, 4*, ranked higher than George and Jordan actual and just a soft verbal to Boise State... Jason Linden and Matthew Tanner, both giants still uncommitted / signed and neither have overwhelming offers... Has coach mentioned any new OL they are trying for? Seems like whiffing on both Moore and Jordan would have him looking for one...

With Phillips coming from Kansas, Roberson might tilt a little more to the Beavers. Interesting connection.

WR Jamire Calvin (Arex Flemings teammate) about to announce at the Army All-American game. Beavers/Nebraska most likely destinations for his services.

Pili, Green, Cotton and Venable would round this class out in dream form. Juliana Falaniko is a USC commit LB who visited in December. I got the impression that he's a family friend of big, silky voice, space eating number 99, so maybe we have a shot there too.

I wish I knew more about these recruits...with the news of Jamire Calvin today, clearly the Beavs are recruiting hard and under-the-radar, which is fine by me. Results is what matters, not the number of headlines. No one seems to know what Pili is thinking in terms of favorites. Sounds like Green got some solid SAT scores, based on what someone posted of a recent tweet. Any chance the Green brothers can be a combination? Here's an article on Dezmond Green: www.scout.com/junior-college-football/story/1642155-green-makes-the-switch-to-golden-west The article is nearly a year old, so take it with a grain of salt. It was the only one I could find with my limited spare time. Sounds like the elder Green is hearing from Hawaii and Fresno. No offers as of the writing of the article because he redshirted last year. Likely to be limited tape on him at the JC level. I, too, heard that Aydon and Falaniko have a good relationship, but I'm not sure if it's enough to flip him from USC. Are there any prep OL or DL recruits we may have a chance at other than Pili? Is Cody Shear's commitment to UA solid? Do we need any additional DE's?

Shouldn't forget Charles Moku Watson and George Moore. At this point it seems unlikely that we're gonna land Moore but I think we're in the running for Watson.

Angie posted that Aaron Short (Juco WR) accepted an offer. Another WR (7th WR verballed).
I'd feel better if they had more OL personally. this is getting ridiculous especially if they still take Roberson (another WR).

I would guess that a couple of these guys will redshirt. Any chance that one or more of these guys get switched to DB down the road as well?
It seems like a lot of WR recruits, but I am sure there is a method to their madness here. Getting good athletes is great.
I agree about the need for more lineman. I'd like to see a prep DT or DE as well as some OL. Getting Green and Cotton would be awesome as well.

having great WR's won't really matter if we don't have good blockers.

having great WR's won't really matter if we don't have good blockers. If we actually are going run and shoot, we won't need to block very long. Conor Halliday practically slapped the ball to wide-outs like there was less than .3 seconds on the clock at the end of a hoops game. Don't have to block long in those schemes
