Was UW over-rated and no-one in the conference/country giving us the respect we deserve or are we just a much better team than the "experts" thought? I'm hoping that we are still THE team to beat in the Pac-12. I kind of like the idea of giving the big fat finger to those that thought the Lady Beavs would take a dip this year. I don't think Rueck plans on taking much of a dip!!
Go Beavs!!!

Undrerated only due to the respect given our departing Srs. UW is NOT deep... they are a 2-headed monster that has to carry them. The frosh is ok, but one dimension to her game right now. UW is not the #9 team... we could be by season's end.

I can assure you all of the coaching staffs in conference, if they weren't actually watching the game, took note of the halftime and 3Q scores in addition to the final. We got the conference's attention today, for better or for worse.
I don't think UW is overrated. They've got both the nation's leading scorer (all time Pac-12 leader too) and the nation's leading rebounder. I think they're better than last year and I'm glad we don't have to play them in Seattle.
Massey ranking predictions had OSU winning 70-69.

When the new rankings come out this week, will we be ranked ahead of UW? I'm thinking we will but won't jump all the way to #9, low teens I'm guessing.

UW in my opinion isn't overrated. They have more depth than last year. Now, some of that depth is young without a lot of experience. They will be a team that will make a serious push in the post season. The Beavers are getting better and better each game. The new players are fitting in nicely to Rueck's system. I saw a post where someone said the main players play a lot of minutes and were dead tired at the end of the game. That is an issue that is of concern. I think Rueck will over time spread out the minutes by using more of the bench. A few minutes here and a few minutes there will give the main players who log a lot of minutes some rest. Even a few of the players who don't see a lot of action are able enough to spell the main players a few minutes without hurting the Beavers. I see Rueck spreading around minutes in some games to save players from hitting the wall at the end of the game. The players who aren't logging a lot of minutes(or zero) can help the Beavers if given the chance. They don't have to light it up but give solid contributions when given the chance to get on the court.
