Listening to him on the Husky radio pregame show. Not exhibiting any respect for OSU whatever.
Guy is more than confident - very cocky. Needs to be knocked down a couple pegs.
GO BEAVS!!

Brilliant move by Neighbors going to zone - OSU proceeds to light it up from the arc. Thank you very much.

Yeah - arrogance is not attractive. Both he and Graves are 'downgrading' deadbeats. They never get beat, or lose, they just get screwed by the clock and the officials.

Can anyone provide a link so I can listen to his pompous comments? Makes that win feel EVEN better yet knowing that he just got served... AGAIN!!! Who's your daddy Mr. Neighbors?

He was very complimentary (envious maybe?) toward OSU's home crowd and felt it truly made a difference for OSU. Said he thought it was worth at least 3 points. Also inferred that playing 3 games (2 of em blowout W's) in 6 days hurt their preparation for OSU. That's kind of throwing your staff under the bus isn't it?
Gee, I think OSU also had to play 3 games in 6 days too so not sure I see any advantage there for OSU. Are the chartered bus rides from Seattle to UO and OSU really that taxing?
Neighbors - you plain got outcoached, and from the looks of it, out-recruited too.

Bragging about how awesome his team is in their practice shooting drills (00:27:10) is a little odd. And his comments about Gabby starting at 00:28:20 are kind of asinine.
His postgame comments starting about 2:34:45 seem to throw his staff and their preparation under the bus.
His remarks about the OSU crowd at 2:36:30 may seem complimentary but he basically calls out his home crowd at Hec Ed. (Of course Horton said exactly the same about the Goss Stadium crowd visa-vis the PK Park attendees).

In retrospect, his comments come off as a little less a-hole-ish than I took them to be on first listen but I'll still take our coach over that guy any day of the week.

Not a great coach. He just happens to have the NCAA leading scorer (who gets away with a carry every time down the floor). UW was over rated coming in due to a lucky run to the final four - path was cleared for them by higher seeds getting knocked off by others.

Either that, or he is throwing UO's team under the bus for not being competitive...

I'd like to hear from some recruits that were recruited by UW as to their opinion about the coach. Was Pivec (Seattle area) recruited by UW? Most public comments would be neutral and praising the chosen school (taking the high road), but I wonder what the real perception of Neighbors?

Mikayla said in the WSU postgame press conference that she grew up a Husky fan and now she's a bigger Beaver fan and didn't elaborate. but expression sorta said, "that's all I'm gonna say about that".

Pivec was recruited hard by the UW before committing to Oregon State and signing her NLI in November 2015. The article below notes that her final three schools of choice were Oregon State, Washington, and Stanford. I saw the video of the press conference after the WSU game as well. I know that Pivec's family lives about 15 miles north of Seattle and has attended UW women's basketball games for years. From everything that I have read and heard, Coach Neighbors was great to her and made her feel very welcomed and desired by that program. I found the link below about Pivec's NLI signing. www.heraldnet.com/sports/lynnwood-celebrates-college-commitments-of-pivec-edwards/
