I really enjoyed the fourth quarter of last night's game as the Beavers closed out previously-unbeaten Oklahoma State to claim a second tournament title during the young season. The team continues to grow and play strong team defense. I even saw some effective early offense in transition that will be useful against PAC-12 teams with bigs that may struggle to get up and down the floor consistently. The team shot well (53%) from the field and didn't overuse the three-point shot (12 attempts) during game. The players made the extra pass during the fourth quarter when they carved up a team that was trying to overplay on defense and get back into the game. They are getting better at a very good time..... The squad is now ranked #6 in the latest RPI rankings. Very elite company near the top of that list. www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-women/d1/ncaa-womens-basketball-rpi

They move the ball and play better D than the men by far, maybe Tinkle could watch how Scott coaches for a while, or the men's team could maybe watch. OK, being a smart arse, but the results speak for themselves, the lady's are fun to watch, and the men need to get some of that mojo or it's going to be a REALLY long year. Winning last night with just HORRIBLE stats is almost a bad omen, that isn't going to happen again, if ever.
