Said their game prep for the 2 teams they faced on Tuesday and Wednesday was outstanding.
Going to zone in the second half of the OkSt game was very effective. And the Cowgirls seemed hesitant to shoot over it.

Going to zone in the second half of the OkSt game was very effective. And the Cowgirls seemed hesitant to shoot over it. I too thought going zone (and swarming the OkSt post players when they did get the ball) in the second half was very effective. It also played into our hands that the Cowgirls guards were either having an off night or are less-than-stellar shooters, or as you point out, were hesitant to shoot over the top of it. We will face some Pac-12 foes with guards who can gun it and inside post players that will keep Bre/Marie/Kolbie quite busy, so we need to keep working on the D. Very well scouted opponents, regardless, SR seems to not only find talented players but talented assistants to keep things rolling..... Go Beavs!
